Biography: Born in Salem, father of Bartholomew Smith (1751-) both of Danvers. Cooper.
Comments: New owner of Casar. Summonsed to SCJ Nov., no record of attendance. Dec 1771 (or 1770) written statement that Casar had satisfied him so much that Smith would sell Casar his freedom for 172 dollars although Smith had paid 200.
