Transcription:From ECCP Records September 1771 1 47 Nancy vs. Parker Nancy of Andover in the County of Essex Singlewoman, Plaintiff; against James Parker Jurion of Andover aforesaid Husbandman, Defendant, in a Plea of Trespass, (as by the Writ on file.) This Action was first b rought at last July Court at Salem; when & where the Parties appeared: And Dinah Parker came into Court by her Attorney Nathaniel Peaslee Sargeant Esq. &. pray’d to be admited a Party Defendant in this Action, which the Court allow’d: upon which the Action was referred to Samuel Phillips Esq. Mr. Samuel Porter I Mr. Philemon Chandler and the Report of them or any two of them was to be final; and to be made to the Court as soon as then might be. And it was acknowledged by the Defendants that the Plaintiff was free born, and that the Referees need not have further Evidence of the Fact. And the Cause was then continued to this Time. And now the said Referees report in the following Words, vis. “In Observance of teh above Rule, we have met and convened all the Parties to the foregoing Rule, who mutually agreed between themselves and in our Presence the Defendants satisfied the Plaintiff as to her Dameage in said Action; and the said James and Dinah Parker further agreed to pay the Plaintiff al her Cost & Charges of Court, which we report that they do accordingly: the Cost of Reference being already paid down by said Parkers. All which is humbly submitted by Samuel Phillips, Samuel Porter, Philemon Chandler. Andover August the 12th AD 1771. Which Report being read: It is Considered by the Court that it be accepted; and that the said Nancy recover of the said James Parker junior & Dinah Parker Costs taxed at
