Transcription:Essex FF [crossed out GEORGE the Third etc.] The Government of People of the Massachusetts Bay in New England To the Sheriff of our County of Essex, his Under-Sheriff or Deputy, Greeting We commnad you to attach the Good or Estate of Peter Osgood Junior of Andover in the County of Essex aforesaid Merchant to the [torn] of ten Pounds, and for Want therof to take the Body of the said Peter if he may be found in you r Precinct, and him safely keep, so that you have [torn] before our Justices of our Inferior Court of Common Pleas next to be holden at NewburyPort within and for our said County of Essex, on the last Tuesday of September instatn thadn and [torn] in our said Court, to answer unto Timon a Negro man of Andover aforesaid Laborer a Plea of trespass for that the said Peter at said Andover on first day of January last past with force of arms assaulted the said Timons and him took and imprisoned and restrained him of his liberty and held hime in Servitude from the same first day of January aforesaid until this day against the law of the land and against the will of him the said Timon and other injuries the said Peter there within the time aforesaid did to the said Timon against our Peace and To the Damage of the said Timon as he says the Sum of ten Pounds which shall then and there be made to appear, with other due Damages.
