Osgood's reply to that via Pynchon is that his original reply was good and Timon;s action "may be barred." Transcription:And said Timon says that the plea aforesaid of the said Peter in manner & form above pleaded is no Sufficient answer in law to his the Said Timon’s declaration aforesaid and that he the said Timon hath no need no is he bound by the law of the land to answer thereto and this the said Timon is ready to verify. Wherefore for want of a sufficient plea in this behalf the said Timon prays judgment for his damages aforesaid and for his costs Theosophilus Parsons And said Peter says that his plea aforesaid of the matter therein contained are sufficient to ban the said Timon from having and maintaining his action aforesaid against the said Peter and all this he is ready to verify & because the said Timon to that plea doth not answer nor deny the same the said Peter as before prays judgment that the action aforesaid may be barred.
