Transcription:Know all men by These Presents that I Thomas Chadwick of Boxford in the County of Essex & Province of the Massachusetts Bay Infolder for and in consideration of the sum of sixty pounds Lawful Money to me in hand paid before the Delivery hereof the receipt whereof I do herby acknowledge do give grant Bargain & Sell to Peter Osgood Junior of Andover in County and Province of aforesaid Traider a Certain Negro man servant of about Thirty two years of age Named Tymon (which said servant is now absent & the said Osgood is to take him wherever he can find him) to have & to hold the said Negro servant to him the said Osgood his Executors Administrators & assigns during his natural life & I do Covenant for myself my Executors administrators & assigns that I have good right to sell & convey the same Negro servant & I will warrant & defend the same as a servant to him the said Osgood against the Lawful Claim or demand of any Person or Persons — In Witness hereof I have herunto sett my hand & seal This forth day of June Anoque Dominy 1776 Sign’d seal’d & delivered In Presence of us Moses Kelly David Hayley Thomas Chadwick
