Transcription:Essex Ss To Mr William Newman of Methuen Greeting You are hereby required in HIs Majesty’s Name to make your Appearance before the Justices of Our Lord the King, at the Next Supeaor Cort of Common Pleas to be holden at Ipwitch the sixtenth day of June Instant. then and there to give Evidance of what you Know Relating to an action or plea of the case then and their to be heard and tried Between Mr. Samuel Taylor of Redding appelant and Ceser a Negro man of andover Leather dresser applea. Hereof fail Not , as you will answer your Default under the pains and peneties in the Law in that Behalf made and provided.
