- Capt. Hart served in the French and Indian War and the Expedition to Canada. He was cashiered out during the Siege of Boston, September 1775 for over drawing provisions and abusing his men. Transcription:CAPTAIN MOSES HART of Lynn, son of Aaron and Tabitha (Collins) Har, was born February 15, 1727. He enlisted April 5, 1758, in Captain Samuel Glover’s Company, Colonel Joseph Williams’ Regiment. Later in the same year he was Sergeant in the same company and Regiment. His place of residence was Lynn. From June 2nd to December 14, 1759 he was lieutenant in Captain Cary’s company in an expedition against Canada. From February 14, to December 8, 1760, he served as Captain, and again during the seasons of 1761 and 1762. April 24, 1775, he was engaged as Captain in Colonel Dudley Argent Regiment and he served until September 5th when he was tried, convicted, and cashiered (See Introduction.) Nothing further is known about him and Mr. Sanders in his Lynn in the Revolution states it is not improbable that he left Lynn after the above event.
