Transcription:Davners SS: To Benjamine Gilford & Hanna both of Danvers in the County of Essex Greeting You are hereby required in HIs Majesty’s Name to make your Appearance before the Justices of Our Lord the King, at the next Superiour Court of Judicature Court of Assice & General Gaol Delivery to be holden at Ipswich within and for the County of Essex on the third Tuesday of June Instant. To give evidence of what you know relating to an Action or Plea of trespass then and there to be heard and tried betwixt Samuel Taylor of Reading Cordwainer appellant and Ceasar a Negroman of Andover Leather dresser appelee. Hereof you are not to fail , as you will answer your Default under the Pains and Penalty of the Law in that Behalf made and provided.
